Post by JASON RUSSEL BARKER on Jun 15, 2010 15:55:00 GMT -7
FULL NAME: Jason Russel Barker NICKNAMES: Jay, Jace, Jaybird, Jaybear, Babybear, Barker, Drama Queen, Pussy, Asshole, Jerk. GENDER: Male AGE: Nineteen BIRTHDAY: June 18th 1991 ORIENTATION: Pansexual MEMBER GROUP: Citizen
HAIR COLOR: Dark Brown EYE COLOR: Chocolate Brown HEIGHT: Five foot eight and a half WEIGHT: One thirty nine BODY TYPE: Slender DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: When one takes a glance at Mister Barker there a three features that seem to stick out the most. The first one being the nose that is placed on the center of his face, now I know what you're thinking, what's so distinguishing about that feature? Well, you see, its a wider set nose, Jason isn't particularly fond of it himself, since no one else in his family seems to have got this nose, but there isn't really much the young man can do about it. Next thing, just below his nose are his lips, looking around Jason noticed that most boys have thin lips plastered on their faces, they were there, but not exactly anything all that special. However, when it comes to this boy on the other hand his lips are big, full and just plain kissable looking (at least that was what he has been told). Finally, last but certainly not least the feature that stands out the most on this young man is his large behind. Yes, for lack of a better term, Jason has a "ghetto booty". To be honest, the young man is rather self conscious about the whole thing, it makes it hard to find pants that fit. Even though he often gets little comments about how his "ass is out of this world" or "it looks way better than most chicks butts" he still can't help but feel somewhat awkward about the whole thing.
PERSONAL STYLE: Jason's clothing style has varied and changed over the past few years, though for the most part it is rather laid back. Usually, the young man dresses himself in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt...and one those says where he feels chilly he'll throw a hoodie on over top. When he was in high school he went through a period where when it came to getting dressed he'd look around the floor of his room and just pick up whatever garment looked the cleanest, probably not the best thing to do, right? Oh well, he did it anyway, though it was more out of pure laziness than anything, he didn't want to go take his things down to wash, he did eventually grow out of that phase...but now it seems as though he is slipping back into it, though this time it's different, not because he's lazy but simply because he rarely has time to do laundry. Though some days, every now and again Jason will feel the need to dress up, on those occasions he'll slip himself into a nice white buttoned up shirt with a black jacket...or something along those lines on top. No matter what he decides to go with, he tries to make sure that he looks good.
PLAYED BY: Brendon Urie
LIKES: Music, his kids Madison and Riley, his family, making people happy, the feeling of laying on clean sheets when you're naked, the smell of clean laundry, going on long trips, fun times with friends, reading, watching TV, looking at the stars, the smell of spring time, acting like an idiot, staying up late, sleeping in, summer time, living on his own, sitting on the computer and doing nothing at all, telling jokes, root beer, cleaning up, homemade bread and soup, eating out, watching movies, helping out, having a girlfriend/someone to spend time with, feeling like he belongs, having ice cream on those really hot days, spending time at the beach, fighting, proving people wrong, keeping himself busy, stepping out of the shower and the bathroom being all steamy, mint shampoo, the smell of vanilla on a girl.
DISLIKES: How his mom kicked him out on his eighteenth birthday, not being able to spend enough time with his family because he always has to work, rain, winter, waking up early, not being able to sleep, being bored, being broke, attention whore girls, when everyone is busy/don't have time for him, being stood up, feeling like he's trapped, when nothing is on TV, when he has a bad hair day, the time he spent in high school...or at any level of education at all, realizing he has no food and has to drag himself out to go grocery shopping, liars, fakes, sluts, when he gets somewhere just a little too late and it ends up being closed, being alone, bugs, laying in bed and having his mind start to wonder to what he's doing with his life and where he's going with it, cartoons, feeling ill, that sinking feeling when you mess something up, when people are overly immature, when people don't take the time to get to know him and just assume that he is some huge asshole.
STRENGTHS: Being a good dad, starting a conversation, making people smile (or at least trying to), playing music, taking care of himself, trying to work out a problem, cooking meals.
WEAKNESSES: Having too strong opinions, pretty people, focusing on one thing for a long period of time, remembering to do something, he has a hard time saying "no" a lot of the time and this often gets him into trouble, writing stories or just plain writing anything in general, he also fails at taking a hint.
SECRETS: Lost his virginity to some random girl at a party when he was just fourteen years old. He's always scared that he's going to do something wrong and end up hurting Maddy and Riley. Jason finds his mom very attractive and he always claims he's joking about this point but really, he does. He's scared that he'll die alone. He has a sex tape with his wife. Jason enjoys taking naked pictures of himself to look back at later. Though he likes being a dad he wished that sometimes he could just act like a normal teenager. He has recently developed a fascination with killing people.
PERSONALITY SUMMARY:
OUTGOING: Most of Jason's life, he had been a pretty shy boy, always keeping to himself and finding things that he could entertain himself with when he was alone. However, all of this changed when he went and started high school in ninth grade, its all a very long story actually, but the events that took place caused the male's personality to turn to a more outgoing side. One could think that was a bad thing, but Jason really didn't mind too much at all, he enjoyed being able to walk up to people and start a conversation, crack a smile or even tell a stupid joke. Because of this, he was able to gain more confidence and get more friends, because even though he had all of his siblings, some times they just didn't cut it.
FLIRT: This is a point that Jason does not like to own up to very often, but he knows at the back of his min it is a trait that is always there. No matter if the young man likes it or not, but he is a huge flirt, it seems like it is something that is programed into him like breathing or blinking is. A pretty girl crosses his path he'll flash a smile in her direction and it doesn't even take a moment until he's over there chatting her up. Really, he is trying to cut the habit, especially since he's engaged and all, but no matter how hard he happens to try he always finds that his effort is just in vain.
GENTLEMAN: This may be something that is rather hard to believe when it comes to Jason, especially when you take his flirtatious actions into account, but he is not the type of guy that would just take a girl, bang and her leave her and then never speak to her again, and on that note he would never, ever do anything to make a girl sleep with him or find a way to take advantage of them in any sort. Growing up his mother had taught him to have full respect for a woman, to treat them right. Walk beside them and open doors for them, push their chars in at the restaurant, little things like that. Plus, when you grow up with several sisters, you learn pretty quick that girls aren't as week as they look.
TRUST ISSUES: Even with his outgoing, friendly personality, she does have a bit of a problem trusting people. He always feels like someone is going to take what he says then go and stab him in the back, or magically find some way to twist the words around that he said and turn it into some big mess that he never said at all. So, don't take it too personally if Jason doesn't open up to you right away, he needs to know people for years before he actually starts to open his mouth and share the secrets of his life. Even though he may be able to strike up conversation with nearly anyone, there aren't that many people at all that take the time to know Jason so he feels comfortable enough to share.
HONEST: This little item in his personality wardrobe is one that he finds to get himself into the most trouble. He is very, very honest when it comes to things he likes, and how he feels about you. Simply, Jason is not scared at all to share his opinions and what is going on in that little mind of his. If something bugs him, or you're rubbing him the wrong way he is defiantly going to let you know about it. From time to time this honesty thing does earn him the title of 'a prick', but Jason isn't about to go and change himself for anyone.
INDEPENDENT: Don't get me wrong or anything, Jason craves human attention, but when it comes down to things, he is a very independent kind of guy and hates asking anyone no matter who they are for help. The young man doesn't like to work in groups and finds it much easier to get things done alone. He does enjoy company, who doesn't, but some quality time away from others is a healthy too. Jason has become very independent and won't allow any extra help from his mother or father, let alone anyone else.
LONELY: At times, Jason, even though he knows he isn't alone, and even when he is with friends or knows that he has family close by can't help but feel lonely. He's surrounded by people that care about him but he just feels like he's completely alone. The young man isn't exactly sure why this is, but despite his efforts to remove the feeling it is something that is always there just lurking. However, those times when he feels like this he usually turns on more of his happy outgoing self and this part of his personality and this fact for the most part usually just goes unnoticed. If that is actually a good thing or not is up for you to decide.

HISTORY SUMMARY: Jason's parents we're those kind of kids that had met a long, long time ago, and they may have not fell in love simply because they were just so young when they had first met each other but over time as they grew they found something in each other something that they loved. The pair of them first met each other when they were in eighth grade at a summer camp, the didn't live very close to each other but each summer when they went to the camp they were more than happy to see each other. Though, things change and Beth ended up moving, and one would think this was a bad thing, but not for them. The female moved to Ridgewood, New Jersey where she could spend more time with Martin. Then, a few years later the two of them ended up married popping out their first child, a baby girl, who was named --- Barker.
A few years later, in the early summer of 1991 the time came that another baby was being brought him into the Barker family, and after what felt like forever of intense labor they family of three had become a family of four, welcoming a healthy, happy baby boy into their home. This baby boy would be given the name Jason Russel Barker and he was filled to the brim of curious looks and timid smiles. Honestly, they couldn't have asked for more.
Time rolled by, and the babies, like most children do, started to grow. And as much as Beth and Martin loved their two children they had a dream ever since they were younger to pop out tons of kids, so that was just what they were making an attempt to do, when the first child was three and Jason was one, they were trying for one more child. However, that wasn't what the two adults ended up with, no it wasn't a bad result. But what's more fun than one baby? Twins! In the year of 1994 Beth was rushed to the hospital in order to give birth to the twins, Austin and --- Barker were born. Thus, bringing the totally amount of people in the house to six.
You think that now a person would feel stressed having this many children, or at least content if they were trying for a big family. But not the Barkers, they wanted one more child, then they would feel as though their family was complete. And it seemed as though once again, Beth had got her wish. It was late 1995 when another Barker was born into the family, she was the most recent and (hopefully) the last addition into this loving family. It was at this point in time when Jason was five and started to notice that as more children were brought into the household there was less attention spent on himself and more on the new ones, and he watched as his siblings would do whatever they could to pull more attention to themselves. Yell and scream, fight with each other, cut each others hair, all do whatever they could just so they could get attention from their parents, even if it happened to be the bad type. As long was their parents focus was on them they were happy. But, for Jason it was different. He was more quiet, he kept to himself more, sitting and drawing at the table while all this had happened. And that was a trait that carried on into his school life.
In elementary school Jason was never one of those type of kids that could just go up and talk to someone, no, he'd get a bubbling up nervous feeling in the pit of his stomach, and he would flush a red color...and to put it simply, talking to people was just not something he was good at. He would much rather build a block castle by himself anyway. But the sad thing was, that other children didn't understand this, how could someone not have any friends? Sadly, those kids did what they thought the "right" thing to do was. Pick on him, saying that he didn't have a voice that's why he couldn't talk. Things like, he's a weirdo and eats bugs, that he came from Mars and no one could speak "Mars talk" which was why he had no friends. Yeah, now looking back at it, it seems silly, but no matter how you put it, it was still being picked on and it wasn't something that this boy had liked very much at all. It was a thing that hurt and he would more often than not find himself going home and crying, why the kids had to be so mean he simply did not understand.
Though high school, a change came about, right on the first day of ninth grade it seemed as though Jason was a new boy. He walked in with a smile on his face, confidence was radiating from his body. He could walk up to anyone and start a conversation he could walk up to a girl and 'woo' them without feeling embarrassed and running away. To most, it was unclear where this guy had come from, and Jason Barker was actually more than happy to keep it that way. During the summer, a few of his older cousins had come into town and decided that it was time to take fourteen year old Jason to a party. This was being his first one...ever, so needless to say as soon as he got some liquor down in his system it didn't take very long to get him drunk.
Everyone knows that when as person is intoxicated their thoughts aren't as straight and simply, bad things can happen. Now, he wasn't sure if this was exactly a "bad thing" seeing as it brought himself more confidence, made him more comfortable with himself after the fact, but it probably wasn't the best thing to happen either. At this party, while he was fourteen years old Jason ended up loosing his virginity to some random girl, even to this day he still couldn't remember her name for the life of him, and he just sort of assumed that it was some girl that was visiting for the summer especially since that day no one has ever come up to him and said "oh hey, you're that guy I slept with when you were fourteen."(which probably, all in all was better...and much less embarrassing). Though Jason seemed to think that this new outgoing version of himself was better, he enjoyed having friends, though what he didn't exactly think about the can of worms he truly had opened, and that wouldn't be realized until much later.
It was later in the summer before his sophomore year when he was attending another party when he first met Aubreen Avery, to be honest, he didn't really remember this first meeting at all, considering how smashed he was that evening, but he had only heard stories about how messy the whole thing was. Spilling his drink on the female, then attempting to clean it up while grabbing her boob in the process, leaving the blonde to be upset and angry at him. It didn't seem like it then, but later after Jason got the young woman to forgive him these two grew to become great friends, always there and ready to support each other when it was needed, attending parties together and just acting like wild teenagers, while all of this was happening in the meantime, Jason had started to develop a crush on Aubreen...though that was something that he ended up keeping to himself for awhile having always heard that it was wrong to date your best friend because it could ruin whatever you had...or something like that.
When Jason was sixteen was when the young man had hit the first real bump in life's road, he had been stupid, a real big idiot. But it was summer time, and he was high...so could you really blame him? Okay, you could...that's just him trying to rationalize his actions, but he was sitting out chilling with one of his at the time friends Molly Cameron, the young man had known her for a fair bit of his life by now so of course it was only normal that they were hanging at his house while his parents were out somewhere. The two of them were just chilling listening to music, but then before you know it, Jason started to get playful and Molly, she did just the same. Then in nearly a blink of an eye, touches had turned into kisses, kisses turned into full on making out and it didn't take long until the two of them had sex. Of course, he whipped out a condom, remember learning many in times in sex ed that you needed to pull out one of those in order to be safe. However, with a combination of Jason's high, and just being a flat out stupid kid (he honestly thought that virgin's couldn't get pregnant in the first place) he didn't realize that the condom was expired. Oops.
Then, Jason Barker met Daniel Hampton-Turner. It was sort of a strange way these two met, Jason was outside painting the house so he could use the car like he did every summer, when a boy had walked passed his house, though instead of just letting him pass by, he had to start a conversation, especially since he knew that the two of them had talked before on the school chat. It was weird how with Jason things always seemed to turn into something dirty, but teasing each other had soon turned into making out in the barn between Jason and Daniel. It was weird, it was different, and Jason knew that his mother wasn't going to like it at all, but nevertheless, he had got himself a boyfriend. Though things were always a constant roller coaster of emotions between these two, first they would be happy, then mad at one another, an on and off relationship is what this turned out to be, especially when the news had spread that Molly Cameron was in fact pregnant with Jason's children. That's right, Jason had knocked that young girl up with not just one baby, but two. It was at this point when his relationship became more off with Daniel while Jason was just chasing him around trying to do anything for his attention because he fell fast and hard, always wearing his heart on his sleeve.
In case you haven't noticed, by this point in the story things were messy, he was so young and was going to have a set of children, and he couldn't help but feel completely alone when things had finally ended with Daniel. Jason would try and try to get himself involved ino the whole pregnancy thing because after he told his mom (and she beat him around a bit) she made sure that he knew it was the least he could do. However, it wasn't working out that way, no matter how hard he tried Molly would just keep pushing him away. It was at this time when he started to lean more and more on his friend Aubreen, he felt as though he needed her in a time like this.
The children were born a few months later, and Jason only got to see them every now and again, but he was proud of them even though he was so young he was proud of his little bundles of joy, they were happy and healthy and well behaved and all a parent could ask for. Though, it was when Maddy and Riley had reached four months old when Jason hit what he would call the next huge bump in his life. It was late in the evening, and the Barker family had just finished cleaning up after dinner, a thunderstorm had just ended but it was still pouring rain, and that was when a knock was head at the door. No one in the household was expecting company so they all thought it was sort of strange, but nevertheless Jason got up and opened the door seeing Molly standing there, passing him the bundles that were their children, along with some of their belongings. No matter how many questions Jason would ask he got no answers, and without a word Molly left those babies with their father. He tried to hold himself together that night, but he had no idea what was happening, and what was going to happen, and later that night he cried.
Time went by as time usually does, and things didn't exactly get any easier for the young man. It was these times when mommy left Maddy and Riley without a word that he needed Aubreen in his life more than he ever did. However, her at the time boyfriend didn't seem to like this very much at all--I don't think you could really blame him though, the more time Jason spent with Bree the more he found himself liking her. Jealousy was a bad trait, but he had it anyway, and he was starting to hate the fact that even though he had liked her for all of this time he had never gone and asked her out, maybe if he had none of this would have happened and things would have been completely different, but you can't go back in time and he had to deal with the consequences, all while secretly hoping that sometime he would break up with her.
It was now when Jason sort of lost track of things in his life and everything went sort of fuzzy, all his days sort of blended into one and he couldn't keep track of it all. He knew that Aubreen went to France for Christmas then she came back and was pregnant, and at some point along that time that boyfriend had left. Now, this is all going to seem horrible, but it was that point when the young man had got rather excited, it took him awhile to work up the nerve to ask, but finally, after liking Aubreen Avery for years now on February 27 2009, she had become his girlfriend, both of them were seventeen.
However, it seems as though on and off relationships are a common theme in Jason life, because that was what he needed up having with Bree. The male would go through episodes where he was depressed and angry, even times where he wanted to go and kill himself, almost like there was something wrong with him, and it was these times where he found find himself going out and cheating. No matter how many times he did this though, and no matter how many silly little fights the couple would get in, Aubreen would always take Jason back no matter what. It was something he didn't understand, even to this day he doesn't understand it, but he wasn't about to go and complain about it. Despite those events, it didn't take long for that like he held for the woman to grow and blossom into a love for her. It was in July when Jason asked Aubreen to marry him. She said yes.
Things seemed great for the two, they were living together, taking care of their children, but that was when Jason pulled another stupid mistake ending up having Maddy and Riley taken away by child services. He never wanted to be at home when this happened, fleeing and staying pretty much anywhere someone would allow him but usually spending most nights in his car. At this point, he ended things with Bree, and as much as it hurt to think about he thought that they were now done for good, especially since he started to live with another woman. Though, this living arrangement didn't last long, and Jason had soon moved back to his parents house to live where he eventually got the children back in his care (thankfully) and he was back to living in his own apartment once again. Soon, he started to reconnect with Aubreen once again, he couldn't just let her slip between his fingers so easily, he loved her even if he wasn't the best at showing it. Then, once again they had got back together, and Jason felt more secure about it than he ever had before.
Christmas time rolled around, and this year was more special than most, while gathered around the Christmas tree at his parents house, all the family there he asked Aubreen to marry him for a second time. She said yes again. You would think that would be enough to make a man happy...now, don't me wrong or anything, he was happy, but still he couldn't help but feel like there was a heavy cloud that was over him, always weighing him down, making even the best of moments not seem as grand. And well, to be quite honest, he had this feeling in him ever since Maddy and Riley were born, so at this point, after having it for nearly two years he decided that maybe it was something that needed to be looked at because it was a bigger deal that originally thought.
Only a few weeks later Jason was diagnosed with cyclothymia, a condition that causes mild hypomanic and depressive episodes. To give more of an understanding, it is was pretty much a milder form for Bipolar II disorder, at least that was how it was explained to him. He was given a prescription, and told to see a therapist in order to work these kinks out, all of it seemed to be quite promising it at first, however, the price of his medication was too much to handle, and Jason being his independent self hates to ask for money, so more often than not he goes without, just hoping that no one will notice, and of course meeting up with his therapist every now and again.
Most recently, Jason has dropped out of school near the end of his senior year, is working three jobs waiting to see where life will take him and hoping for the best.
NAME: Edi AGE: Eighteen GENDER: Female YEARS ROLEPLAYING: About seven OTHER CHARACTERS: Lacey Williams, Mary-Jane Hartley, Sebastian Lamoreaux TIME ZONE: Mountain MINIMUM WORD COUNT: Five hundred ROLEPLAY SAMPLE: The bell had rung all of fifteen minutes ago releasing all of the students from the school (or prison as some of them may have called it). Though, as they all left she was still inside. Trapped inside of her room, flipping through sketch books, and looking over paintings and sculptures, giving it all marks, taking into consideration the effort and time the student had put into the work a long with how well the project had actually looked. Okay, honestly, the young woman wasn't actually trapped inside of the school, she could have got up and left at any time she wanted. She just decided not to. She knew that the moment that she had got home she would forget about the task that she had to do, or simply would feel unmotivated, she'd much rather just curl up on the couch and watching television or read a book. But, that was why she was here, she knew she had got more work done. Also, tomorrow happened to be the deadline to get a few of their projects in, so through out the day she had been telling her many students that they could come in after class to work on their projects if they were behind and needed to get things done on time. She also explained that if they did come in extra marks would be handed out their way because it showed that they took pride in what they did. Really, the woman was an easy marker and handed out those bonus marks easily.
A sigh fell from her lips as she leaned back in her chair, bringing a cup of tea up to her mouth taking a sip, allowing the warm liquid to roll down her throat and warm her up from the inside out. The question really was, would anyone even bother showing up? She had put these offers out more than once, giving kids a chance to come in and boost their grade, but it seemed as though it was a rare occurrence for anyone to actually come in. Talia pushed a few pieces of her blonde hair from her face as she let her ocean blue eyes wander around the room like she had so many times before, but it didn't take long until she had let her mind wander away to think about other things, the time she had lived in France when she was much younger. The female was born in Paris, and she lived there with her mother and father for the longest time, she loved it there so much. When she was around four her mother would take her down to the park to let her run and play with other children, and as Talia got older, the park was still her favorite place. She would sit down on the grass in the shade that a tree provided and spent many afternoons just sketching. Sometimes it would be what she saw around her, other times it would just be what came to mind, but no matter what it was she did it would still like beautiful. She missed living back there, she really did, being forced to move to New York, New York when she was seventeen years old just because of her parents, and she had told herself that at some point in time she would move back to France. But now, ten years later she was still very much in New York, not working at being an artist like she wanted to become, but teaching art classes at the high school. One could probably say that it was quite sad that this was Miss York had ended up doing with herself, but honestly, she didn't mind much at all.
Finally though, Talia snapped herself out of her daze and leaned forward once again turning her attention to the task at hand; marking. But maybe, just maybe if she was lucky enough someone would come along into the room, even if they just came in to do some work and nit actually talk to her, it would still provide her with a bit of entertainment and a welcomed distraction
