WE COULD RULE THE WORLD SOMEDAY, SOMEHOW
Dominic had been living in Ridgewood for a while and he felt like he had finally settled in. It was just a shame that he was having to start his new job and to say he was freaking out about it was an understatement. He had only been employed as a trial run and if he messed it up then he had nothing and the small life he had already set up here would have been a complete waste, the apartment he had, the friends he had made and the girl he was quickly falling for, her and her little baby boy who Dom had also become quite attached to since Gwen had introduced him to her son. Everything would have been useless, it wasn't like he would be able to stay in Ridgewood if he didn't keep this job.
He arrived in his new classroom early making sure everything was ready and perfect and just as it was meant to be. He was a man obsessed, once the trial was over he could chill out, he could probably chill out sooner than that, he just had to win over the kids and get a grasp of the job. Winning the kids over would probably be the hardest part. The first bell of the day shuck him from his little world, he scribbled his name on the board, even his scribble was tainted with his obsession for being perfect, damn him and his perfectionist ways. He pottered around the room for a while as students slowly made their way from the hall way to their seat in the class.

Gwen was in a particularly good mood that morning; Gabe had been cheerful when being dropped off at daycare, her paycheck from work would be nicely cushioning her bank account by the time classes were out, and she was excited that the incompetent sub in her one of her classes was finally being replaced with an actual teacher. Gwen always loved getting to know and meeting new teachers, and thankful this was her first class of the day, so she could show up a tad bit early and introduce herself. Dressed nicely in lace shorts, a button up, and a pale pink blazer, the young woman felt presentable and very spring-like. She’d dressed up a bit more than usual because as soon as classes were over she planned on meeting up with Dominic to see a movie.
The young woman had been both surprised by Dom’s interest in her and her ability to open up to him the way she had been the past few weeks. He was older than she was, something they didn’t really talk about, but she could tell, and liked how mature he was compared to the boys her age. Scared of pushing him away, she hadn’t really mentioned the fact that she was still in high school. After all, she was almost done, and it wouldn’t be a big deal once she graduated in a few weeks. So when he asked about her life she vaguely talked about ‘classes’… it’s wasn’t a lie; she did take classes at the college to supplement her high school ones.
Gwen walked into the classroom a good three minutes before class. Any moment a few other kids would be shuffling in, but now it was just her. Shucking her bag into her front row desk, she immediately turned around and smiled shyly. “Hi, I’m…” The smile dropped from her face as the words fell from her mouth. What was Dominic doing here? In the split second it took him to notice her, Gwen’s eyes traveled over his dressy attire, the papers he was shuffling obviously at the teacher’s desk, and his name scrawled across the blackboard. ”What… what are you doing here?” For a split second she hoped that he was just subbing, some how. While that would still be a horrifyingly awkward situation, it would be significantly more manageable than what the signs were adding up to.

WE COULD RULE THE WORLD SOMEDAY, SOMEHOW
Dominic knew he would have his work cut out with his classes they had all been lugged from substitute to substitute and it wasn't likely many of them would welcome a full time teacher with open arms. Still he had confidence he could handle it. He had plenty of exsperiance with stroppy teens and attertude problems, having a huge family like his did have it's perks. Not very many, but some. Plus he had been quite the hit through his placement in Britain, even in the lower level classes they had been pretty respectful. More so for him than they were for their regular teacher, he just had a way with people that he couldn't explain, he was just a natural. Not that it stopped his worrying.
Despite having so much on his mind, he had something to look forward too, meeting up with her and telling her how crazy his had had been. It felt like a long time since he had seen her already, he had been busy getting things ready all weekend and they had always spent the weekends together before he bagged his job. It hadn't taken long for him to like her which was odd because he usually held back with relationships, so much so that things ended before they began because girls thought he was messing them around and stringing them along. The reality was that he just wasn't all that trusting these days but there was something about Gwen that he trusted.
He pushed the thought of her from his head when he heard his first student walk through the door and finished shuffling his paper before he looked up to look at whoever it was. Who he saw stood behind the desk at the front of his class made his jaw drop and shocked him to silence. "What, what... what the hell are you doing here I thought... your meant to be..." His hands went to the back of his head and he turned his back to her for a moment, scrunching his eyes closed trying to gather his thoughts for a moment but it wasn't really working. How had he not known she was a school student, they had been seeing eachother for how long now? But when he thought about it, he hadn't really told her what he did and she hadn't ever said that her classes were at a university.
Feeling rude her turned back to look at her but still didn't have a full lenght thought to speak aloud. What exactly was he expected to say in this sort of situation anyway? He was dating one of his students without even knowing it. And more importantly, what was he meant to to?
